
Leah Nyalobo
Founder & Executive DirectorLeah Nyalobo is the Founder & Executive Director of LEC community organization. She has a background in social work and community development, studied Women Leadership at the Aga khan University and currently pursuing a bachelor degree in Gender and Development at the University of Nairobi. Before founding LEC Community Organization, Leah had led programs implementation in Gender Based Violence and Child Protection in different organizations. She believes in a society where women and girls are empowered to have access to equal opportunities in our communities.

Sarah Rono
Board ChairSarah Rono is the Co-Director of LEC Community Organisation and the Board Chair. She works jointly with the Executive director and other team members in order to meet the desired mission and vision of the Organization and attain the best outcome. She pursued her Bachelor’s degree in business management and later adding a diploma in social work and community development from Co-operative University.

Ruth Shiare
Board MemberRuth holds a Diploma in Human Resource and has additional education background in Public Relations and Leadership. Ruth has held several senior leadership roles in different organizations both private sector and public sector. Ruth has contributed immense support both at the board level giving proper guidance at leadership skills and also at the programmes level in supporting the management in training the staff on human resource capacities.

Duncan Muusya
Board MemberDuncan Muusya LLB, is an ambitious, resourceful, proactive and enthusiastic Board member of LEC Community Organization. Duncan is an astute lawyer having graduate with Bachelor of law Degree (LLB) from Mount Kenya University. He also possesses a Diploma in law from Kenya School of law and he is equally certified Court Annexed Mediator and an appointed Arbitrator. At LEC, Duncan plays a very vital role as a board member who is well versed with both domestic and international law. He does this by championing for the rights and welfare of the children, youth and women from the slums of Mathare which rights are guaranteed in Article 26(4), 27, 28, and 53 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and further embodied in other legal frames including and not limited to Children Act, 2022 and The Sexual Offences Act 2006(Laws of Kenya).

Nelly Induli
Board MemberNelly Induli holds degree in business management and master’s degree in international relations from Daystar University. She has a wide experience in leadership capacity in both private sector, non-governmental organizations and currently in government top managerial leadership. Her leadership skills have supported LEC in networking with government services and linkages and supporting LEC management in decision making.

Jacob Viera
Board MemberJacob Viera is United Kingdom resident and a football Administrator at Liverpool County FA level 4 football referee and he also a Board member at LEC Community Organization. He has attended Everton College and has qualification on level 1 Award in coaching football (qcf), Emergency Aid course, FA coaching disabled football, Barclay’s Premier League works and mental health awareness. In addition to this, he was able to purse modules in information technology, series certificate in computer programming and unit credit information at Zetech University.

Sophie Omutanyi
Board MemberSophie Omutanyi is a child protection specialist with a versed experience in both international, regional and national child protections programming for over 15 years. She has a background in Social Work as her first university degree, Child Development and eventually pursued Project Planning and Management in her post graduate studies as the master’s degree at the University of Nairobi. Her knowledge in programming, child protection and Gender-Based Violence has added immense value at LEC Organization in supporting in designing and implementation of programs. She sits in the board as the Technical Advisor.
